NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The NAMI Charleston Area chapter provides Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley, Georgetown and Horry counties with support, education, advocacy, and outreach to persons with mental illness and their families. We offer free programming facilitated by volunteers with lived experiences, and we also work with businesses and community partners to bring awareness to mental health.
