At the non-profit Beyond Our Walls (BOWs) after-school program, we understand that if society collectively goes beyond our walls into the community, we can provide educational opportunities for every family and every student to flourish.
The BOWs community of volunteers, donors, and sponsors delivers educational advocacy at no cost to families with children qualified to receive free or reduced lunches at school. We build priceless relationships and experiences that transcend generations and the boundaries of neighborhoods. Every child deserves caring adults, a safe place to gather, access to nutritious food, and educational resources.
For 19 years and over 12 years in the neighborhood, BOWs has been a stronghold in the North Charleston Waylyn and Dorchester Terrace communities as an anchor of hope for the legacies of tomorrow.
